REGISTRATION: Training Event (9th May)
Welcome to the event page for the BMSS Imaging & MALDI Special Interest Group for the launch of their first MSI training event to be held on May 9th 2024 at Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield. Then, join us for a 1-Day symposium on May 10th.
The training, open to national and international attendees, will be delivered annually by an MS manufacturer on a rotation basis, supported by the host academic or research institution. For this year's event, the training will be delivered by Waters Corp. supported by research staff and students from the Centre for Mass Spectrometry Imaging (CMSI) sitting within the Sheffield Multimodal Imaging Centre (SMIC). This free-of-charge training is for a maximum of 15 trainees with a solid theoretical and practical knowledge of MSI to make the most of the day's teachings. As such, this is an application-based process. High-level training will be delivered on the SELECT SERIES MALDI MRT, DESI Cyclic Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometer and the DESI Xevo TQS tandem quadrupole mass spectrometer on both small molecules and peptides following enzymatic proteolysis.
The meeting will end with a Q&A and feedback session.
