New Chair of the BMSS is announced

The British Mass Spectrometry Society announces that Dr Andy Ray (AstraZeneca, UK) has been appointed as its new Chair of The Society, effective 1st October 2024. Dr Ray succeeds Professor Neil Oldham (Nottingham University) who has stepped down as BMSS Chair after serving the maximum two years in post, as outlined in the BMSS Constitution (www.bmss.org.uk/about-us/bmss-constitution).

As part of this transition, Professor Oldham replaces Dr Jackie Mosely  (University of York) as the Immediate Past Chair of the BMSS and Chair of the Advisory Board. The BMSS would like to thank Jackie for her many years of contribution to The Society, serving in several roles on the BMSS Committee.

Dr Mike Morris (Waters Corporation, UK) replaces Dr Ray as BMSS Vice Chair.
