The Swansea oxysterol group are at the frontline of developing cutting edge mass spectrometry technique for sterol analysis and hold a US patent for sterol analysis. The group research is focused on cholesterol metabolism and its relation to human health and diseases. The lab is well equipped with the state-of-the-art instruments. We are looking for an enthusiasm researcher who would like to develop scientific skills in biological mass spectrometry and biomarker discovery for neurodegenerative diseases. We collaborate widely with biologists, clinicians and industry. You will be part of the sterol biomarker discovery programme. Training will be provided on the methodology.
