BMSS Biomacromolecular Structure SIG meeting 2024
Welcome to the event page for the BMSS Biomacromolecular Structure Special Interest Group (BMS SIG) Meeting to be held over the 24th and 25th of October 2024 at the University of Dundee.
We will be organising an exciting program over two days.
- The first day (24th of October 2024) will be focused on training in automated HDX-MS for drug discovery – this will be aimed at those new to HDX and include some ‘hands-on’ training in the University of Dundee’s MS lab. The event will take place at the School of Life Sciences, Dundee. It will include data acquisition, robotics and data analysis, interpretation, and integration with complementary techniques.
- The main SIG meeting will be on the 25th of October 2024. There will be a series of exciting lectures covering a range of new developments in biomacromolecular structure analysis by MS, a poster session which will be an excellent opportunity for great discussions, and an exhibition to find out the latest commercial products. As always, early career researchers and students will be encouraged to deliver lectures and posters. This event will also take place in the School of Life Sciences, Dundee. Our keynote speaker will be Prof. Stephan Rauschenback, University of Oxford, who has pioneered "soft landing" techniques at the interface of mass spectrometry and cryo-electron microscopy.

To be considered for an oral presentation or poster (ECR/ECS abstracts invited), please submit your abstract, stating which options you prefer by the 12th of September 2024.

EARLY CAREER SCIENTIST PARTICIPATION
The BMS SIG is committed to welcoming Early Career Scientists to its meetings. Submission of abstracts from ECSs is particularly welcome. BMSS Student Members will be eligible for discounted registration for both the training sessions and scientific meeting.
BMSS GRANTS
Qualifying BMSS members are eligible to apply for the society’s various BMSS Grants for assistance with meeting participation.
