BMSS Ambient Ionisation SIG Meeting 2024

Welcome to the event page for the BMSS Ambient Ionisation Special Interest Group (AI SIG) Meeting, celebrating 20 years of ambient ionisation, to be held on the 1st of February 2024 at  the ThinkTank, Birmingham

The meeting will be a celebration of ambient ionisation mass spectrometry featuring presentations from the key founders of this area with a historical and forward-facing view of the area. There will also be a series of exciting lectures covering a range of ambient ionisation-related work for both new techniques and applications, a poster session which will be an excellent opportunity for great discussions, and an exhibition to find out the latest commercial products. As always, early career researchers and students will be encouraged to deliver lectures and posters, with the Pete Ryan prize awarded to the best presentation.

The meeting will end with a Q&A session which will be a fantastic opportunity to ask leaders in the field about their work and career
